Overview of The Big Brew
The Big Brew – BQe Summit 2011 is a one day summit held in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week Malaysia campaign that gathers the brilliant minds and established leaders in the local and global entrepreneurship scene to impart their knowledge and also to provide sharing to the entrepreneurial youths in Malaysia. The Big Brew strives to further inspire entrepreneurial minds especially from tertiary education level who want to further develop their acumen in entrepreneurship in Malaysia with strategic collaboration with Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to launch the annual MSC Malaysia-IHL Business Plan Competition (MIBPC) that will see the collaboration of MDeC and BQe from the month of September 2011 until May 2014.

In 2007, Joel made waves in the business scene when he won Malaysia’s first corporate reality TV show, The Firm as the youngest contestant. He then set up Youth Asia and expanded it into an award winning group of internet. Joel is also currently the CEO of Groupon in Malaysia, the world’s fastest growing company ever (noted by Forbes). Joel was published on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine in 2007 and was named to the “Malaysia Top 40 Under 40″ list recently. |

This 24 years old youth topped 44,890 participants from 168 countries to emerge as the Ambassador for Your Big Year in 2010. With this, Michael will travel the world this year to assist social enterprises and world leaders in co-creating programmes that empower the local communities to make a difference to the world. |
